What a cacophony of characters walked through the doors of school this week and we had lot of fun with all our learning for that day centred on Reading, characters and books. With a visit from Michael O’Leary a local storyteller, a book swap, reading cafe in KS2, shared story times with older and younger pupils and a range of other fun book based activities World Book Day 2024 made a huge impact and showed everyone is a reader and Herne View a reading school.
Our thanks go to Miss Carver, Mrs Sainsbury, Mrs Budd and Mrs Turner who arranged all of this as our school English team.
