Season of Giving – shoeboxes

Children at Herne View Church of England Primary School have been supporting children across the world by donating Christmas Shoebox gifts to Blytheswood Care. The shoeboxes, which contain both useful items like stationery, soap, sponge, underwear and hair comb and fun items like toys and sweets were taken to The Minster where they were collected by representatives of Blytheswood Care who arrange their distribution. In recent years these have gone to Romania and the children are excitedly waiting to find out where their shoeboxes will go to give someone a smile this Christmas.

Blytheswood Care are also supporting Herne View with the distribution of surplus Greenfylde and Swanmead uniform and sports kits to ensure these can have a second life and support others.
