Pancake Flip

It was frying pans to the ready as Herne View Primary School pupils in Ilminster took to the playground in a pancake flip challenge to raise funds for the PTA. An annual event, pupils are sponsored for the number of flips they can manage in a set time and thanks went to the Year 5 pupils for supporting with their counting skills and helping each of the other classes with their challenges.

This event, alongside the Summer Fair, is one of the main fundraisers for the PTA who have supported in recent years playground development, external reading areas and purchasing new Library furniture and reading books for the school. The PTA is also responsible for running the swimming pool at Silver St which will be opening again to the public at Easter so fundraising is very important for them and the PTA want to thank all the families of the children for sponsoring this event and the help from Tesco for the ‘pancakes’.
