Building for tomorrow, we share knowledge and foster aspirations through acceptance and welcome. We strive to strengthen our connection to the whole community through dignity and respect. Children are the heart of Herne View Primary and we celebrate the worth and uniqueness of all.

Care Friendship Respect 

As a school, we wrote our vision and values in consultation with our school and wider community to reflect our mission as a school and our promise to the children of Ilminster. Our theological underpinning '...let your light shine' reflects our view that our children come from a diverse range of backgrounds, some families with a strong faith background and others with no faith and we wanted a vision and and a verse that reflected this. Children can shine reflecting the light of God's glory and following in his ways with compassion and kindness to all, listening to his words of guidance as they grow through their life, equally our children can shine through their uniqueness and achievements both within our formal and informal curriculum. We see our children, and in fact our whole school community, flourishing by having the support of the school so that their lights can shine for themselves, for others and for the wider community and world. Everyone has the opportunity to shine and all are welcome to become part of the school family at Herne View and join us in our vision and shared values of care, friendship and respect.
