School Uniform

As a school we try to keep costs down for families by only having two items of uniform with the school badge. These cardigans and sweatshirts, along with an optional bookbag, can be purchased from the School Office. Once your child is a pupil at Herne View, you can buy these items online via the School Gateway app.

Any other items of uniform can be bought from a retailer of your choice, e.g. Tesco, Sainsbury, Asda, M&S. Matalan, John Lewis, Clarks, Shoezone etc. We also have some good quality second hand uniform for sale – for further information please speak to the school office.

Main Uniform

royal blue sweatshirt/cardigan (no hoodies) with the Herne View Logo (available from the school)
grey trousers/skirts/pinafores/knee length shorts or blue/white summer dresses
pale blue polo shirt
grey or white socks; grey tights
black shoes suitable for active primary pupils

PE kit (children wear PE kit on PE days)

white t-shirt (no collar or buttons)
navy shorts or navy/black skorts (no logo visible)
navy/black/grey jogging bottoms (no logo visible)
trainers
Children wear school sweatshirt/cardigan with PE kit – no hoodies or alternative jumpers
swimming costume – one piece not bikini/tankini
swimming trunks not board short style
towel
footwear to walk to pool in

Other Items

Lunchbox if required

Water bottle to refill daily which must be named.

Coat – suitable for wet weather with a hood

Cap or other sun hat

For Forest School days children wear own clothes that can get muddy but do need wellington boots.

All stationery will be provided by the school so children do not need to bring in pencil cases etc

The wearing of jewellery to school is not permitted except for watches, small stud earrings and jewellery worn for specific religious observance. No jewellery should be worn on PE days.

Please ensure that all your child’s items of clothing are labelled clearly with their name as one school sweatshirt looks very much like another!
