Somerset Music The Three Billy Goats Gruff

The Reception children at Herne View Primary School were treated to a delightful musical performance by Somerset Music recently. The talented musicians, armed with violin, viola, cello, and flute, amazed the children with their lively renditions of classic tunes.
The highlight was the musical storytelling of "The Three Billy Goats Gruff." The children were mesmerized as the instruments make the story come to life, from the rumbling of the Cello for the troll to the flute for the smallest Billy Goat Gruff.
The musicians were incredibly engaging, and the children loved interacting with the music. It was a wonderful opportunity to introduce them to the joy of live music.
They also got to play their own flute using pasta shapes! Lots of the children found this tricky but nobody gave up and they kept on trying!
Somerset Music's visit provided a valuable and enriching experience for the young learners, fostering a love of music and sparking their imaginations.
Children's favourite part- 
Felix- I liked the noise the violin made. 
Jasper- I liked the dancing to the music. 
Katie- I liked the noisy pasta. 
Phoebe- The flute was my favourite.
