Save the Children Christmas Jumper Day

Herne View pupils along with children in their Apple Orchard Pre-School brought out their reindeer, snowflakes, Father Christmas and even the occasional Grinch as pupils and staff put on Christmas jumpers to support Save the Children’s Christmas Jumper Day 2024. Everyone got behind the cause and together the school raised £229.55.

Children were excited but also thoughtful in their participation commenting:

We all participated for the future of children that may be less fortunate in different ways. I also think that Christmas jumpers are great way of expressing yourself and spreading loads of Christmas joy around the world.

We wear Christmas jumpers to raise money so that charities can make a difference and bring cheer around the world. Ted, Year 6

Christmas is all about care and that is what we are here to do. Chloe, Year 6
