Father Christmas came to visit
Herne View Primary School in Ilminster had a very special visitor this week when Father Christmas came with presents for every class. The Forest School teacher came in one morning to find that his log cabin had been transformed into a grotto and his forest school area hung with decorations as the special visitor made himself quite at home. All the classes and the pre-school enjoyed time going to chat with Father Christmas where they shared their hopes for Christmas and checked that he had received any letters sent. The children were slightly disappointed that the reindeer were nowhere to be seen but it was explain that they tended to hide away when they had a snack and a rest in between travelling. The children enjoyed the magical experience and summed this up in their own words:
"I really loved seeing Santa and telling him what I want for Christmas" Finley Y2
"That was so much fun I love Santa!" Bonnie Y2
‘The grotto was so amazing because there were presents outside the door and snowflakes hanging down.’ Roxy Y2
‘I liked Father Christmas because he asked us what we wanted and I said I want everyone to be happy.’ Spencer Y2
