Environmental Poster Competition with Ilminster Lions

Year six pupils from Herne View Primary School in Ilminster recently showcased their creativity and environmental awareness by participating in an Environmental Poster Competition organized by the Ilminster & District Lions and Art Lead, Amber Eaton. The competition encouraged students to express their ideas on protecting the planet through vibrant and thought-provoking artwork. The children were enthusiastic about the challenge, with Maya saying, “It was a really fun opportunity. We all enjoyed taking part, even if we didn’t win. The top entries were so good!” Another student Athena added, “It was lovely to complete posters about the environment as we are the generation that can make things change for the better in the future.” The event not only fostered creativity but also inspired a deeper understanding of environmental responsibility among the young participants. Thanks were given to Ilminster and District Lions for their generous sponsorship and Miss Eaton for supporting the pupils’ participation in school.
